Qualifications

Qualification Criteria for Scholarship Applicants

The following three criteria must be met by all applicants for consideration by the Scholarship Committee:

1. Active registered member of the Korean Central Presbyterian Church (KCPC) for at least one year or more (applies to either applicant or his/her parent/legal guardian); 

2. Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher from the current academic institution in attendance, or from the most recent academic institution from which the applicant graduated from; and

3. Have not been a recipient of the Sent scholarship more than once.

In addition to the three criteria above, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

1. A current student attending an accredited theological seminary institution in good standing;

2. An individual with plans to attend an accredited theological seminary institution in the current academic year;

3. A child of a KCPC Missionary, which includes missionaries commissioned by KCPC and those that serve as cooperative missionaries, who is in high school or in a comparative level of secondary education, or other institution of higher education; 

4. A current college  or graduate school student in good standing;

5. A graduating high school senior with plans to attend an accredited higher education institution, including two-year and four-year institutions, the semester following his or her high school graduation; 

The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to determine selection procedures, and also reserves the right to make changes in scholarship eligibility, funding, and other aspects of the Scholarship program at any time and at its absolute discretion. The Scholarship Committee has sole discretion for determining the eligibility and awarding of scholarships, and all Committee decisions shall be final. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to the use and dissemination of all materials related to the application and award process.

장학생 신청 자격요건

장학생 신청자가 장학위원회의 심사 대상이 될 수 있기 위해서는 아래 세가지 조건을 충족해야 합니다.

1. 본인, 부모 혹은 보호자가 지금 현재 적어도 1년 이상 중앙장로교회 예배에 참석하는 교인

2. 지금 현재 다니고 있거나 가장 최근에 졸업한 학교 성적 평점이 3.0 이상

3. 본 장학금을 한 번 이상 받지 않은 학생

장학생 신청자는 위에 열거한 세 가지 조건에 더하여, 아래 있는 조건 중 하나 이상을 만족시켜야 합니다. 

1. 현재 공인된 신학교에 재학하고 있는 학생

2. 현재 학년도에 공인된 신학교에 입학하려고 하는 학생

3. 중앙장로교회 파송선교사 또는 협력선교사의 자녀로서 고등학교 이상, 또는 그에 준하는 학교에 재학하고 있는 학생

4. 현재 대학교 혹은 대학원 재학중에 있는 학생

5. 고등학교 졸업 예정자로서 곧 바로 2년제 혹은 4년제 대학에 진학할 예정인 학생

중앙장로교회 장학위원회는 장학생을 선정하는 과정에 대해 단독적인 재량권이 있고 장학생 자격요건, 장학금액, 그리고 모든 제반 사항에 대해 언제라도 변경할 수 있는 권한이 있습니다. 장학위원회만이 장학생 자격요건, 선정과 장학금 수여에 관한 결정권이 있으며 장학위원회의 결정만이 최종 효력을 가집니다. 또한 장학생 신청과정에서 접수된 모든 서류와 사진들은 장학위원회의 재량대로 사용할 권한이 있습니다.
